Good Afternoon -

Just wondering if anyone has done the

Enterolab tests? I am interested in it since I won’t have to eat gluten

for days/weeks to get an accurate blood or biopsy test.

Just wondering.

I did...

and it showed that I do have both genetic markers..it showed high

amounts of undigested fat. etc etc.. the report was quite detailed

and as miserable as I was and as great as I feel now.. gluten free..

I do not need anything shoved up my butt or down my throat to tell me

otherwise.... I did the blood test after I went gluten free.. It

will still show a wheat allergy... mine was 13.8... I am also fatally

allergic to peanuts 24.5...

FYI, Here's a statement from the American Celiac Disease Alliance on

stool testing:

" There are well accepted criteria for the detection and diagnosis of

celiac disease. The tests used to fulfill these criteria have been

subjected to scientific scrutiny and validation. To our knowledge

tests of antibodies in stool or saliva have not been validated as a

robust test for the diagnosis of celiac disease. Many insurance

companies base their decision to cover the costs of testing on the

scientific evidence that supports the testing of that individual

(indication) and the actual test used (validation).

Our organization relies on the expertise of its physician members, as

well as the recommendations of the:

- American College of Gastroenterology;

- North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology,

Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN);

- NIH Consensus Panel on Celiac Disease; and

- Childrens Digestive Health and Nutrition Foundation

for the most current scientifically proven information on the

diagnosis of celiac disease.

The ACDA promotes awareness and understanding of celiac disease among

the general public and to also disseminate scientifically validated

information to guide physicians in the detection and management of the

disease. "

Hi Luther!

I have, and I love the team over there!! Author Jacquelline Mallorca

recommended EnteroLab after I had received a false negative.

EnteroLab was an excellent option for me, since I had been avoiding

gluten for several months prior to testing.

The whole process is a bit icky, but well worth it!! It does take a

few weeks as they state, but everyone was always willing to answer any

questions that I called or e-mailed with.

I had the gene test with Enterolab. It said I'm positive for the

celiac gene and some other gene for gluten intolerance. My blood work

is negative--I did the gene test because we suspected that my son has

celiac (he does). So, I'm not really sure what the gene tests tells

me, or would tell anyone, except to satisfy some curiosity.
