Guest guest
This place sounds fantastic. Thanks for sharing, too bad it’s far away…I will check it out next time I’m up there! For those of you live in the East Bay, I wanted to mention a restaurant in downtown Berkeley that has been open for a few months. It is kind of a healthy burgers & fries place with everything organic. It is called 's and it is on Shattuck near BART. On their website they list their gluten-free menu options: http://www.amandas.com/health.html Their fries are baked, so no CC issues! I inquired to the owner about the spices on their chicken sandwich to make sure there were no mystery gluten spices. She was very aware of Celiac issues & this was her response: Yes, you can have the grilled chicken sandwich (without the bun). We make our own seasoning and all it has is real spices in it. No weird stuff like maltodextrin.
Guest guest
Thanks for the tip. I live in Berkeley, so I may check it out one of these days. Personally, I like my fries deep fried, though (hey, I can bake them at home if I want them baked). On Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 12:19 PM, Wallace <AWallace@...> wrote: > This place sounds fantastic.
