Guest guest
Celiac Survey of Northern California Medical Professionalsby Iscol, North Bay CeliacsI plan to compile and post a list of of medical professionals (physicians, specialists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, dentists, etc.) who are familiar with celiac disease. The list will appear on our web site at www.northbayceliacs.org. Almost every week, someone asks me or the other group leaders for the names of doctors and dietitians who can diagnose and treat celiac disease. I would like to be able to provide a list, but I need the community's help.WHAT TO SEND: If you have had a positive experience related to celiac disease with your doctor or dietitan, please send me their name and city. It would save me time if you include other information such as an affiliation (Kaiser, UCSF, etc.), address, phone number or web site. If they are not an MD (medical doctor), please try to include their credentials (RD, DO, NP, CDE, DDS, etc.).GEOGRAPHICAL AREA: The list can include medical professionals throughout Northern California, from the San area north to the Oregon border.LEVEL OF EXPERTISE: The list will include more than celiac "experts" in our area (that would be a short list). It can include any medical professional who has shown some knowledge of celiac disease, helped diagnose you, or expressed an interest in pursuing celiac information for you. I'll make it clear that this is not a list of celiac experts, just medical professionals who might provide some guidance and assistance.WHAT WILL BE PUBLISHED: I will only publish the name, affiliation, credentials, and contact information of the medical professionals.WHAT WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED: Your name and contact information will NOT be included. Any comments you offer about your positive experience with the doctor may be helpful to me in referring people, but they will not be published.WHEN TO SEND IT: The sooner the better. I'll compile whatever I receive by December 14th. After that, I'll try to post updates as I receive them.WHERE TO SEND IT: Please email me at info@.... Feel free to contact me with questions or suggestions. Guest guest
Thanks, Marci. Both pediatric and adult, all types of medical professionals, including dentists. I have already received many wonderful recommendations, and I may start posting them sooner than I had planned. Keep them coming!! You can post them on the Group or email me privately at info@...
