Hi Elena,

Anticardiolipin is associated with lupus and has to do with blood clotting.

I don't think it is too terribly bad to be positive unless you are pregnant.

I went from negative to positive during my pregnancy and had to take low dose

aspirin. The antibody is linked with a higher incidence of fetal death or

deformity due to clots that can form in the placenta. This does not happen

in all cases, only a few. I will see what else I can find about this

antibody in my lupus book. It might have a little more to say.
