Actually, when I went to the Safeway on 16th & Potrero, the Kinniinck bread was $7.00!!!!, whereas at Whole Foods, a loaf is $4.39...Safeway makes you pay out the nose for offering it there...I'd rather make the extra trip to Whole Foods...

I found Kinnikinnick bread, pizza shells and the chocolate dipped donuts in the Webster street Safeway. So I guess the pizza gods heard my complaint. LOL!!Now that was a complete surprise. But I guess since they did their remodel of the store they decided to get fancy. The GF vegetarian stuff is all over the store but I am starting to find it. They have the Tinkayada pasta, Amy's Organic shepherds pie, and a few other things. But I guess that is better than schleping over to Whole Foods and paying through the nose for GF things.I guess unless we complain, we don't get change.Melita

If anyone is in the Santa Cruz area, I just went into the remodeled

Safeway on 41st Ave at Soquel Ave. I found the Kinnickinnic products

in the same freezer everyone else is indicating--near the bakery with

the frozen cakes. I didn't see pizza shells, but they had the

doughnuts, hamburger buns, English muffins, and bagels.

I didn't have time to browse the whole store, but in the frozen

section I saw some of the Amy's products and Ian's GF Chicken nuggets.

I'm sure I can find everything if I give myself a few hours (lol).

Well I went back to Safeway to check the prices.

$8.99 for four 7" pizza shells. Rather pricey.

$7.99 for the bread and the donuts.

Maybe I will trek over to Whole foods or Rainbow. But MUNI on a hot day is evil.

AWESOME! I'm going after work today! =D

The last time I went in, about a month ago, I asked if they had gluten

free products and the employees were clueless to what I was talking

about, disappeared into the back for a minute, then came back and told

me they didn't have them.

I have had a really annoying experience at Safeway too. They said they didn't carry Kinnickinnicbecause no one bought it. Then I happened to be there buying an ice cream cake for my non gf

daughter. IN the ice cream cake case, right between the bakery and the milk, on the top shelf, wereabout 9 different Kinnickinnic products!!!! I pointed out to the manager that people couldn't BUY the gf

products if they couldn't FIND them. On Sun, Oct 12, 2008 at 9:27 AM, majicbunnies <majicbunnies@...> wrote:
