Guest guest
Jill This makes me really sad. It used to be Embasa Chipotle Chiles were safe. They had told me in the past that all their products were wheat free. With your question I did an internet search and found that they now have flour in the ingredients. And also the Embasa website has no links at all, only pictures of their products. For the last two years I have been using a Chipotle Powder from Smart and Final instead of the canned variety. It is a lot easier to use and you can adjust the heat by adjusting the amount that you add to your dish. Mark

Guest guest
Yup. It can be included as a filler or a way to keep spice material from sticking to itself. Few good-quality spice brands intended for home use do this. When we buy spices for ourselves, we can check. With a canned product, not so much. This is especially a problem for food products manufactured outside the U.S. H. In a message dated 7/28/08 2:38:50 PM, TrVerb@... writes: Spices might have gluten? Guest guest
We found a brand without wheat in it somewhere. Unfortunately the can was used up and thrown out without noting the brand and I don't remember where we bought it. (Gluten ate my memory!) Keep looking! It's out there, just not at Safeway. On the other hand, both Roland Empacadora San Marcos brands look promising, and Amazon has both. While nothing in either is obviously gluten, San Marcos has mystery vinegar and spices and Roland has spices. Good luck! > > is there a brand of chipotle in adobo sauce that does not have wheat? i can't find it > anywhere... > thanks > jill >
