Me Too! She was the main reason I resubscribed to this list. I wanted to know how she was. When I was going through diagnosis for AIH, it was difficult for me. Geri, although a practical stranger, was a great support for me. Infact for alot of people. For someone who was sick herself, it seemed incredible that she could also be so kind and give so much.

I hope she returns and is well!

Now that I look back I realize what a gem we lost when Geri left. What a brilliant woman!. I have been reading the archives. She is something else, and an animal lover too. Andi =^..^=

elena,

i also miss geri but do understand that there are lots of people on the group

that can help when you need them. everyone of them has gone through most of

the same symptoms that you have or will have in the time to come.

i dont post much but do read a lot. in fact when i got out of the hospital

last week had over 270 emails from the group. it was good getting back into

reading and seeing what everyone was doing. they did a bio recently that i

did not do but had already told everyone when i first joined the group and it

has not changed much. i am now on pred 20 mg and went into the hospital this

last week for chest pressure and since i am also diabetic, any pain or

pressure in the chest is taken real serious. they kept me there and did an

echo gram and stress test and shot me up with radioactive isotopes and took

pictures of my heart. i have to wear a nitro patch every day now, but do feel

pretty good, but do get tired.

i have been a packrat all my life and i have been trying to clean out things

now and it makes me so tired at times., do you get tired a lot? do you work?

do you have a family?

dont give up on us, and dont give up on geri, who knows she may be back. not

that i have inside info or anything like that, as i dont. but joan the

coordinator of this group is very good and she told me that there are others

that could help me and i know that. so i am telling you that also.

okay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i am off my soapbox. take care,

Hi ,

I am very thankful that there are others on this list that can help. I am however, lucky enough to be in good health now. There was a period of time that my LFTs rose. I think that was because of some SSRIs I was taking. I have a positve ANA and smooth muscle antibodies, which are markers of AIH. So I accept the fact that I may some day get AIH. My GI told me that If i get pregnant or take contraceptives it may activate the AIH. During the time when i had high LFTs, I was extremely worried. This list was a godsend for me. I have done alot of research, and hope that I can now give back and give any advice that I can. It does seem though, that there are alot of experts on this list!
