Google gluten free in San Diego. They are really gf friendly.

Z'Tejas (in South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa) has a GF menu, very helpful manager

and good Tex-Mex food.

While this looks good for SD and La Jolla I don't see much headed up to Los Angeles and in between... so any other suggestions would also be welcome. I was down in So Cal last weekend. We went to the Yard House in

Newport (though they are all over). They have Red Bridge beer and a

gluten free menu online. Just be forewarned though you have to be

VERY vigilant. A friend who also has extensive food allergies and I

both ordered from the manager directly, and both of us had to send our

food back before they got the order right. (I actually had to twice!)

Once they got it right though it was very good You may have

better luck at other locations.
