Guest guest
Hello to all, I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year before any more time elapses I go back in and work on this huge pile of laundry that our trip to Norway seemed to amass...wow! Our trip to Norway and the town just north of Lillehammer where the alpine events were held was lots of fun. We had good snow cover and the boys were able to ski downhill every day...except the one day they indulged me and went with me to see if I could still X-country ski. Let me tell you folks....when an 18 y.o. in the ski shop tells you that a 2 hour trip around the back side of the mountian to the top of the chair lift is a " relatively " flat course....the operative word is " RELATIVE " !!! The tracks were well extablished but pretty icey...so after a couple slips and one fall I decided that the prudent thing to do was just walk up. Since the all the X-country trails in Norway, even in the outback, are at least car width, packed and groomed, I was able to spend many pleasant days just hiking in the snow...even without snow shoes. So my skiing days are over...but I really do like walking/snoeshoeing just as much...it is silent and peaceful and can be every bit as athletic as a run on skis. So I will accept this fate and move on! I will try to backtrack old posts....but for now let me just say hi to our new members Pat, and Dierdra and a welcome back to Marci. Andy...good to hear from you..how are you doing? Jodi...sorry to hear that your flatback is confirmed although perhaps it will make it easier to pursue proper care. Edie...congrats on safely reaching 9 months. The best is yet to come. DianeB, I am sorry you are experiencing the painful legs. Donna... FWIW..I left my hair pageboy/shoulder length was able to wash it early on but wouldn't have had the stamina (or interest) to blow it dry for awhile. Bring a ball cap to the hospital for your bad hair moments and otherwise I suggest braided pigtails so it won't mat if you want to leave it longer!
