Question--is the corn completely gluten free? It is often siloed in the same building as wheat etc. I often have trouble with products like this that say they are gf but the corn has CC.BeaFrom: j. hogle <jjhogle@...>Subject: [ ] Bubbies pickles & related products Date: Friday, November 14, 2008, 5:45 PM

Talked to Jeff at Bubbies (www.bubbies. com) today and was informed that all of their pickle and related products:Are totally gluten-free. This includes a white vinegar, which is in some products, that is made from corn. Are made in a dedicated GF facility near Montreal. No chance of cross-contamination .All have been relabeled "Gluten-Free" except the horseradish and pickled herring, for which labels are being redesigned to include "Gluten Free."They are available in a variety of markets. The horseradish is excellent.Cheers, HogleFreelance academic librarianInstructor, online researchEmail: jjhogle (DOT) comWeb: www.blueroom. comReality ain't what you think it isArt Graphics & Photographs[http://www.blueroom .com/realityaint .htm]

My understanding is that corn is not usually grown, stored, or

processed with wheat. If this is wrong or has changed, I would like to

know, but I would need to know it was from a reliable source, so I am

wondering where you heard this information?

Dunno about anything else, but I eat the

pickles ALL the time – in fact they are the ONLY pickles I consume,

because, truly, once you eat them , you will never have ANYTHING else…

They are, truly, the BEST pickles on the

planet!

Remember also, Bea, that I am one of the

ones who reacts to nearly NIL gluten – so, I feel pretty confident when I say

if I don’t react, I can’t imagine that anyone will…

That is exactly why I am interested in trying it out since you seem to be also "blessed" with extreme sensitivity to gluten. Similarly, I am currently so grateful to be able to use Braggs apple cider vinegar. Until fairly recently I used to think all vinegar was "bad"...Where do you find the Bubbies products by the way?BeaFrom: Lillyth Denaghy Keogh-Quillan <lillythdenaghykeogh@...>Subject: RE: [ ] Bubbies pickles & related products Date: Sunday, November 16, 2008, 11:25 PM

WF & Rainbow. At least those are the

two I know of. But I live in the city. Your local WF should have them though –

you can always call ahead to check. They are in the refrigerated section.

I went into the fridge last night right

after sending that email to grab a Bubbies pickle – YUM!
