I would replace it with tapioca starch over corn starch if you're baking a cookie, muffin or other pastry.

Potato starch flour and cornstarch can be exchanged with each other.

This says that it is an excellent alternative for corn starch. It can

also be used in place of wheat flour but use half the amount. But, do

not confuse potato starch flour with potato flour.

Yes absolutely for the rest of your life.

I was told if there is no bleeding in the tooth cleaning it should be okay

But my surgeon won't let me take that risk.

Do any of you have to take antibiotics before getting your teeth cleaned?

Yes. Probably will for at least another two years.

you should be having antibiotics for any procedure done even 20 years

down the track

I went about 5 years thinking I shouldn't need them now then when I told my

new shoulder guy he said No No you must take them for the remainder of your

life,

He was very strongly adamant about that.

I got into a tussle over this with the doctor who was preparing for a

routine screening colonoscopy. I¹d been told by my OS that I needed

antibiotics before any such procedure, but the colonoscopy doc said No you

don¹t.

So I said, ³do you realize that your colleagues of orthopedics disagree with

you on this one?² And she said, ³yes,² and then she said, ³I¹ll leave it up

to you.²

You¹ll leave it up to ME? Am I a physician? What is all that medical

school stuff for then, if I¹M supposed to make decisions like this?

So I said, ³what¹s the downside of taking the antibiotics?² and she said,

³we might be breeding super-bugs by overuse of antibiotics.² And I said, ³I

don¹t feel particularly public-spirited today, and I really do NOT want to

get some infection that settles in my artificial knee, so yes, I want the

antibiotics.² I later found out that there are conflicting studies on this

yadda yadda.

One wishes this crew would get its collective act together. In any case,

the OS says antibiotics forever before any invasive procedure including

cleaning teeth, and I go with that, even if only ³very few² people get

infections and so forth. I don¹t want to be one of them.
