Guest guest
Dear , I am so sorry for my previous post in congratulating you on doing so well post-op. When I get behind, I'm guilty of not reading everything in order and I miss stuff. Please know that I will be thinking of you and saying prayers for you. I hope this is just a minor adjustment and your recovery will be much quicker. Cam, I enjoyed your post on how you are doing a year after your surgery. I agree that we just have to play the hand that life deals us no matter how difficult it is. We all cope the best we can. Regarding Kathleen's post on taking antibiotics for infection - last week I had a really painful infected ingrown toenail and went to my podiatrist to have it taken care of. She put me on a week's worth of antibiotics mainly because I'm just seven weeks out of hip replacement. She said the first six months post-op are the most critical for preventing infection. From talking to my doctors,I get the impression that my hips are more at risk for infection than my spinal hardware. Again, looking forward to a gathering. Would love to see all of you.
