Dr. Aron, CPMC. He diagnosed me and several friends. He is

quite holistic in his approach. Only issue that his office is a real

pain to deal with. jaronmd@... +1 (415) 600-3700

Dr. Vikki (not a GI but the practice is heavily focused on

gluten). They write a blog called The Gluten doctors. Website is

Subject: [ ] Recommendations for Gastroenterologist

Hi All,

I am new to the area and looking for a good gut doctor to sort out my

issues. I'm told I most likely have Celiac but haven't yet had a

definitive diagnosis. I live in the East Bay but am willing to travel a

bit to see a good doctor. Any recommendations?

Thanks! Cara

Aron in San Francisco is great. Very knowledgeable, skilled, and friendly, too. Look at his website "Gut-check."Take care,CarynOn Jan 28, 2009, at 8:17 PM, Cara F. I recommend Dr. Faraz Berjis, he was very kind, thorough, and respectful. He has

offices in

Berkeley (next to Alta Bates hospital) and Walnut Creek. 510 548 6555.

Dr. Gray, Stanford, is who I see. Can highly recommend him. Robinrobin@... On Jan 28, 2009, at 8:17 PM, Cara F. I agree, Dr Gray is amazing. I had my first consult with him, back to my

clinic for tests and will go back for a final consultation (insurance blues). He

does ask the right questions. Bottom line, find someone who has studied and is

aware of the most current research, limited that it is.

Good luck, Lenore

Hi Cara,

For a list of Bay Area doctors familiar with celiac, you may wish to

check our web site:

http://www.northbayceliacs.org/resources.html

It's a list of doctors celiacs recommended. (More recommendations are

always welcome, along with a few words about why you are recommending

them, though that is not published.) Good luck!
