Guest guest
I ate breakfast Sunday morning at Scramblz on Almaden Expressway in San . Absolutely delicious! I had their sausage and scrambled eggs, as well as their campfire potatoes - unbelievably yummy – boiled potatoes then fried on the grill with salt, pepper and paprika. Be sure to explain you need your breakfast cooked on a clean grill. Instead of toast or pancakes, I had fruit – the fruit plate consisted of strawberries, boysenberries and mango slices. I also brought along a warmed-up WF's poppyseed muffin from home. What a feast! I brought home at least half of my breakfast for another meal. My husband said his breakfast reminded him of " trucker " portions it is so big! Joleen, the manager, had confirmed everything I was ordering was gluten-free. Scramblz is only open for breakfast and lunch. Next up (when I can afford to eat out again) is one of their specialty hamburgers with french fries (the only item they fry in their oil). Wow, hamburger and french fries in a real restaurant! I will bring along a toasted Kinnikinnick hamburger bun for my hamburger. Scramblz, 5055 Almaden Expressway, San , CA (408) 269-2900. They also have locations in Hill and Modesto. The usual disclaimer - " Eating out is risky. " Sue
