I some how got so sick – nauseous and couldn’t even stand up for a couple of hours. I was so mad, I peeled off the patch but my husband made me put it back on later in the day. I’m down to 2 percocets a day from 4…..baby steps, baby steps. 123 days since surgery – over 4 months – I’m getting there! Spring is coming.. Guest guest
YaHoo! for Lorrie and a big " Way to go! " for Jilly! If you guys are having the fantastic weather that we are, you have solved your problem just in the knick of time. I am sure Jilly will cooperate with this climbing plan since climbing is one thing most little kids love to do...I bet it is a challenge she enjoys. When do you do up to NYC? I hope you can get off the fentanyl soon...it seems like it just isn't agreeing with you! If it is any help, you might want to ask the doctors, when I was weaning off the percocet I upped the tylenol a little since that enhances the effect of the oxycodone in the formula I was using. Then I started cutting the tabs in half....but you do have to be careful....DO NOT EVER CUT a slow release tab in half......very dangerous. You are getting there girlfriend! Slow but steady, Cam
Guest guest
Lorrie - I am so glad to hear that Jilly is going along with your modification plan! AND, I don't mean to sound like a meddler, but how much does your body have to protest before you ask Dr. Boachie's office what the quickest and safest way to stop the patch is? If there is a way to get you feeling GOOD, not just better, we (yes, I really am meddling) need to figure out what it is! I know that when I quit taking the Oxycontin, I felt better mentally within a few days. I went back to the oxycodone when my back was hurting so bad from the undiagnosed UTI and noted a change in my demeanor almost instantly. The pain was more bearable than the mood altering effects. On top of these observations, when I quit taking Norco at night and switched to Ultram, I began sleeping better and waking more refreshed than I had in I don't know how long. None of this is to say it will work the same for you, but too many people report unpleasant side-effects from the patch. Perhaps you could call your pharmacist and at least get their take on it? You have been such an encouragement and inspiration to me when I desperately needed it and I know you deserve to recuperate as quickly and effectively as possible. I'm pulling for you! ~kam

Guest guest
I Completely feel your excitement. I am 31 and have a 5 and 9 year old. It is so nice when they make that leap. Just wait and see how happy you get when they are buckeling their own selves in as well. All of my friends wondered why I never had a changing table ( a mat on the floor required no lifting). In public restrooms the stroller often doubled as a stool to help the kids wash their hands as I could not hold them up (just make sure you have the break on). Potty training was difficult with all the bending and such that is unavoidable, but once they get it life is soooooo much easier. Oh and our kids were in toddler beds by 18 months mostly because they both could get out of the crib, but it really helped my back.
