Guest guest
I have it. I am scheduled for a breath test for formal diagnosis this weekend, but I have been treated successfully with antibiotics previously. The antibiotic Rifamaxin (sp?) works WONDERS for SIBO - and is non systemic. The first time I was on it, 98% of my symptoms disappeared in the span of a few days. --- In , " redchickn " <redchickn@...> wrote: > > Hi there, > > I have been wondering if I suffer from small intestine bacterial > overgrowth, in addition to Celiac Disease and irritible bowel syndrome. > > Has anyone on this list been diagnosed with SIBO? Guest guest
I find Wikipedia a great resource for things like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_bowel_bacterial_overgrowth_syndrome You can also search for SIBO on google - you'll find a ton of sites. The symptoms overlap quite a bit with Celiac as the underlying foundations of both are malabsorbtion of nutrients. I dont know anything about SIBO and specific diets - I think once the infection is established, its difficult to treat without antibiotics. > >> > >> Hi there, > >> > >> I have been wondering if I suffer from small intestine bacterial > >> overgrowth, in addition to Celiac Disease and irritible bowel > > syndrome. > >> > >> Has anyone on this list been diagnosed with SIBO?
