I have it. I am scheduled for a breath test for formal diagnosis this

weekend, but I have been treated successfully with antibiotics

previously.

The antibiotic Rifamaxin (sp?) works WONDERS for SIBO - and is non

systemic. The first time I was on it, 98% of my symptoms disappeared

in the span of a few days.

I find Wikipedia a great resource for things like this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_bowel_bacterial_overgrowth_syndrome

You can also search for SIBO on google - you'll find a ton of sites.

The symptoms overlap quite a bit with Celiac as the underlying

foundations of both are malabsorbtion of nutrients.

I dont know anything about SIBO and specific diets - I think once the

infection is established, its difficult to treat without antibiotics.
