Guest guest
I have a report on birthday cakes. I purchased an amazing birthday cake from Mariposa this past weekend. It was actually baked by Kapcakes, a GF bakery in Palo Alto, and delivered to Mariposa in the Easy Bay. It was a white cake with cream cheese frosting and raspberry filling and was absolutely delicious. It blew away even the gluten-eating guests. This is a great adult birthday cake. I was looking for something that was gourmet and tasty (no food-colored bad aftertaste frosting). And of course, gluten-free. Mariposa said that if you gave them time they could add some writing to the top of the cake. One piece was pretty filling. Highly recomended. The only drawback was the price ($35) for the 8-inch double layer cake. But totally worth it. They have 3 kinds of cake. Here is a description of each of the cakes: 8" two-layer cakes (frosted), Gluten-free ($35): - White cake with cream cheese frosting and rasberry filling- Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting 8" single-layer cake (not frosted), Gluten-free & Dairy-free ($18): - Torta Regina with chocolate, hazelnut and citrus zest Cheers, __________________________________________________
