Guest guest
Re celiac disease: Make sure your mother knows that once she stops eating gluten, test results will be compromised. Best to test first, try diet next. As you know, eating GF is a life-time commitment. It isn't easy. Some people with CD may not see evident improvement, even though good things are happening to their body. Especially with older people, healing can be extremely slow. I didn't feel any particular change after I began eating GF, following blood test and biopsies, but various tests showed great improvement in anemia, osteoporosis, potassium levels, etc. The point here is that "self-testing" doesn't always work. Any focused GF nutritionists? I was dx'd in 2006 and have experienced a dramatic improvement in health, which mom can see. Thanks for all your help.
