Guest guest
Hi , Soma's speaking engagements have been rather limited because she usually has to travel with Tito and an aide for him. She also has a contractual agreement with CAN, and is currently on staff and working daily with kids at Carousel School in LA. When I spoke with Theresa Finazzo of CAN, she explained that they have 3 priorities for Soma (in this order): 1) Complete a manual 2) A documentary which will show in depth Soma's work, and 3) A CAN-organized, structured teacher training program schedule for professionals/parents. (Theresa is probably the person you need to talk to to get on the " list " for future speaking engagements.) Honestly, I just lucked out by getting this scheduled before she and CAN were bombarded with requests. I met Soma when I went to observe her work in LA. I told her how we were trying to develop a school program for older ASD kids, and personally invited her to come provide teacher training. I included the workshop as part of the package because we wanted as many people as possible to have access and exposure to her work. Hope this helps.
