I checked out the cereal aisle at Safeway on Almaden Expressway in San

looking for the newly-formulated g-f Strawberry Rice Chex. I

wanted to warn everyone to be sure and look closely at the ingredient

labels and also what is stated on the front of the box.

I found the g-f Strawberry Rice Chex - HOWEVER, another box right next

to it had the words " NEW " right on the front of the box. Logic would

tell anyone that THAT box should be the newly formulated box, right?

Wrong. Barley malt was right there on the " NEW " Strawberry Rice Chex

box's ingredient label. Just be sure to always read ingredient label!

I know that some people do not want to chance eating mainstream cereal

because of cross-contact issues, and I respect that. However, if you

choose to eat these types of cereal with no ascertainable gluten

listed on their ingredient list, the Strawberry Rice Chex is

absolutely delicious! I'm such a pig - I went home and had two bowls

of it!
