Guest guest
Oh it's a problem from beginning to end. I have gastroparesis so my stomach digests at less than 10%. When it's performing at its worst even water feels like crushed glass.I need something to help move things out of my stomach.Candace No shadows to depress you Only joys to surround you Many friends to love you God himself to bless you These are my wishes for you, For today, tomorrow & everyday. Also, what about doing a food journal and writing down everything you eat during the day and then writing down when you have a problem, you may be able to eliminate some foods, or add something else, to help with digestion. Guest guest
Have you done the five small meals thing? Perhaps eating just a few bites every hour or so, [not easy at work I know]. I got my start in digestive hell [iBD] from being severely overdosed at 5 with penicillin [i was living in Germany and was in a military hospital-penicillin was fairly new, and I had a bad case of tonsillitis, no one wanted to spend time on a sick girl when the troops needed care] I've had chronic constipation all my life, now at 62; I'm having it all come to a climax. Experimentation with foods is helpful, try a food journal, since your digestion is so slow you'll have to see what you ate the day before for evidence of sensitivities. Anything with a label is likely to be loaded with hidden dangers so try whole, locally-grown, natural foods. Herxheimers is a real danger when coming off a really bad diet but shouldn't last that long, it is really a toxins flush reaction, and not so much from whole, pure foods. You might also have some sensitivities to 'cides [herbi- and pesti's] so having an organic garden can give you at least a summer cleansing from these problems. Oops sorry, hopping off my soapbox. ~Katy Sheep to the right; His Lamb “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength" Isa 30:15 http://www.orchardhouseheirlooms.net/ survival seeds Christian-homesteaders/ biblical survival -- Re: Re: Digestive Enzymes GARBAGE! As a teen it was sugar sugar meat junk sugar meat junk... which was a complete turnaround from when I was a kid. We ate really healthy... our idea of a treat was when my mom would let us have one of her yogurts. Go figure, as soon as I start eating garbage as a teen my guts went haywire. From 18-21 it was a lot of Kool Aid and Ramen Noodles. It was cheap. So it's no surprise everything stopped working when it did. When I was 21 I got pregnant with Brock and did a complete turnaround back to how I ate as a kid. I couldn't bring myself to eat anything in a box or can. The site of meat sent me running to go puke. So Brock turned my diet around but I was REALLY sick the entire pregnancy and the year afterwards I went down down downhill and almost died. SO sick with an unexplained illness. My dr says that was a lupus flare. I think it was a severe detox from getting off the sugar and garbage. I had also started taking Formula #1 (wow I've been taking it for 8 years!) so things were starting to move. I think toxins were getting knocked loose every which way! Candace Whether you think you can, or you think you can't...... you're always right. ~Henry Ford~ Well my digestion is a mess because from the age of 13-22 I had a BM once a month. I was completely clueless back then about diet or herbs so I just took that as my "normal". Dumb, I know. One BM a month though. Yeah how did I stay alive you ask? I don't know! Now I have Systemic Lupus (from too many toxins in my system for almost 10 years!?) and the most painful part of it is the gastroparesis. I have a gallbladder so atrophied they couldn't find it when they tried doing an ultrasound. They found a cluster of stones under my liver and assumed that's my gallbladder... I also have stones in my liver, pancreas, and clogging up my intestines. After many many many kidney infections I now am passing kidney stones as well.... all that going on in my guts just kinda backed up into my stomach I guess. I think maybe for a while the food had nowhere to go and the muscles in my stomach just stopped working. Now when it acts up (I honestly don't know why it does from time to time) when I eat or drink anything it just sits in my stomach for days and then either slowly passes through after much pain or I puke it back up. Yuck! I take lots of Dr Schulze's Formula #1 pills every day and do enemas just to have daily BMs and every month or 2 months as I can afford it I do his liver cleanse. I just allowed my system to get SO messed up it has been SLOW going trying to fix it. I did a raw diet and juice fasts for a few months and got sicker and sicker and sicker and was about to lose my job so I had to stop. Now I do mostly raw almost 100% vegan and am just trying to clear as much out of my guts as I can. but slower this time around so I don't detox so severely. That was a long answer to your question ha! I tried finding GT Kombucha online to buy but can't. They pulled it from shelves and I don't know when it will be back. The other brands don't work!!!!! When I made my own it also did the trick but my Scoby is dead. Kefir works but I have to drink it every 20-30 minutes to ward off the pain. It's better than nothing but barely.
