Guest guest
Hi Bernadette. I am new to the list. Where in SAn Diego did you go to get well. And what did you do? And did you have other problems than those listed below? Thanks Donna Re: Re: -Bernadette Edith, I am HEALED! Guest guest
That seems like a bargain to me, if you have the dollars. Just a hotel room where I live costs $80 to $150 a night and you don't get well. What is rejuvelac? Thanks, Donna Re: Re: -Bernadette I was diagnosed from Feb 2000 to June 2000. I had many disorders, mainly of the throat. From that point on I did herbs and studying. I began eating vegan and then went on a long term juice fast. However my juicer at that time was a Juiceman Jr. Studies now show this type of juicer harms the juice. After this I was scoped in my throat and still had chronic and clinical problems, more or less, no worse and no better. So I scheduled the OHI institute program. My hubby looked up the IRS web site and discovered if he got a prescription from my Doc and a letter we could claim it on his 125k pre-tax medical dollars. The cost per week is 650.00 for private room and bath (recommended). You can share a room and bath for less. Being tactful with the Doc's I asked my Doctor to write down on a prescription my cholesterol and weight. I told my throat Doctor to write a letter stating she was supporting my natural treatments. They both complied. At the institute they feed you watermelon juice every morning on fasting days and a huge piece of watermelon on non fasting days. For lunch and supper you had a small fistful of sunflower sprouts, fenugreek sprouts, alfalfa sprouts, raw sauerkraut, and a seed cheese made of sesame seeds and sunflower seeds. These are the most detoxing foods available and it was powerful. You are expected to drink four ounzes of wheat grass juice a day (very powerful part of the program) and a quart of rejuvalac and a quart of water. You also take a one hour very gentle lymph exercise class. In addition they fill you will instruction classes all day. Including the mind body connection ( a very important part of healing)> It was intense and wonderful. I hope that somehow you all will find someway to save 1200.00 and go for two weeks. Guest guest
Hello Donna, I went to the Optimum Health Institute. I also had allergies and post nasal drip, lymph drainage and just plain sick all the time. I was depressed for years ect.... Raw Foods, Colon cleansing and juicing. Doing these 100% will cure anyone. OHI helps you learn how. Bernadette Re: Re: -Bernadette Edith, I am HEALED! Guest guest
The Optimum Health Institute program is available on Video and with a Study Guide for the highly motivated and financially deprived. It is much easier to go there then to grow and make everything yourself. Plus you need the equipment and seeds. It would wind up costing you more. Guest guest
The Norwalk juicer is excellent - put out by a man who did a lot of research in juicing and also wrote his own books on juicing - his name is N.W.... he has many theories... one being that the 'impurities' in the vegies (if they are not grown organically - or by your own self) go out with the " pulp " and this is why he never agreed with eating that part of the juiced material. We've never used the juiceman - but have a good solid centrifugal juicer... not the Norwalk at this time - which would be close to $600 (a few years' ago prices) ... also - to do your wheat grass, and other things of that nature, you need (or used to !) another separate kind of juicer for grass and grains - the one we found was about $300 just for that. Anyone can grow their own wheat grass - for us, here in so.ca. there are only a couple months of the year that it gets a little too hot... and of course, sprouting your wheat for rejuvelac can be done inside,,, as well as sprouting beans. wendy Re: -Bernadette >hi..l was wondering what kind of juicer is recommended since the juiceman is >not good for the juice? it sounds like it would be worth it to save the >money and go..with your health back then you could work again. thanks teri. > >Subscription email: >mailto:bowel cleanse-subscribe >

Guest guest
have you 'separated' them while growing them?? we've discovered that we can't leave them in a 'bunch' like other sprouts .... we 'lay out' our wheat to sprout ... on a sprouting tray with 'air holes' on the bottom... works great - about the 3rd day they've got a good 'tail' on them and its a good time for rejuvelac. wendy Re: -Bernadette > ><< Anyone can grow their own wheat grass - > for us, here in so.ca. there are only a couple months of the year that it > gets a little too hot... and of course, sprouting your wheat for rejuvelac > can be done inside,,, as well as sprouting beans. >> > >You are a lucky one. Guest guest
the wheat has to be sprouted first.... before you soak it in the water....for rejuvelac wendy Re: Re: Re: -Bernadette Donna, Rejuvalac is acidophilus. Guest guest
I bought my juicer from Sears years ago for about $75 (Canadian.) I use it almost daily and have never had a problem with it once. It juices everything. Terri > Edith, > > The best juicer is the Champion with a press. Or the Norwalk (a 2500.00 juicer). The Champion puts less electricity in the juice then the Green Power. If you invest in the press also, you use the blank and masticate all the produce to pulp and then you press the pulp. This is how you get the juice and it contains the maximum amounts of nutrients and enzymes for fighting disease. I invested in the press in December and believe it pays for itself in three months. You have a flat pancake left after pressing. > > Bernadette > Re: -Bernadette > > > hi..l was wondering what kind of juicer is recommended since the juiceman is > not good for the juice? it sounds like it would be worth it to save the > money and go..with your health back then you could work again. thanks teri. > >
Guest guest
I received mine, an inexpensive Braun juicer as a Christmas gift from my folks a few years back. Apart from the power knob falling off and some DIY fixes I had to do, it juices fine. The only nuisance is cleaning it... and if I juice carrots and celery I have to do the celery last as it clogs the sieve/blade. Ditto, beets. Guest guest
I just read that you can still use the grass if it mildews. Just cut above the mildew. Try using less water, and when soaking the wheat add a little wheatgrass juice to the soaking water. This is suppose to help. Guest guest
in our case of making rejuvelac - and we also got the recipe from OHI - we sprout the wheat berries for 2 -3 days... we quickly 'whirr' them around in the blender with a bit of pure water to 'break them up a bit'... before putting them in the gallon jar of pure water. You will see a 'film' gather on top of the water over the next few days... and the water will 'ferment'.... the water will contain eventually alot of ENZYMES and B vits. We stopped doing this when I found that kombucha tea is LOADED with many of the same enzymes... alphalipoic acid and B's.... wendy Re: -Bernadette I just read that you can still use the grass if it mildews. Guest guest
Edith - we take that film (or the worst of it!) right off... stir the mixture around and let it sit ... when we drink it we also remove the 'worst' of the film... if you take the very 'topmost' part of the film off,,, you will see there is a thicker 'crust' under it. wendy Re: -Bernadette >In a message dated 04/11/2001 9:11:38 AM Central Daylight Time, >dwmcphail@... writes: > ><< in our case of making rejuvelac - and we also got the recipe from OHI - we >sprout the wheat berries for 2 -3 days... we quickly 'whirr' them around in >the blender with a bit of pure water to 'break them up a bit'... before >putting them in the gallon jar of pure water.
