Guest guest
– I’d love to send them a note about this insane and hazardous new policy, but the link doesn’t work – says I need to select a topic and to please try again. However, it’s not apparent how to do so. Any advice? Thanks very much! One of the managers told me today that the Cupertino management and staff actively opposed it, but it is a new national policy. In fact, the change had to be done before CEO Mackey came to visit the store. The manager also told me that if you look at the back of the label, the ingredients are still there. This was one of the ways the staff was getting around the national requirement. He also advised contacting the headquarters in Austin and complaining about the change. There is a customer service form at: http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/company/contact_submit.php. Tell the company how upset you are about the change and why, and be sure to use the pull down menu to specify your local store. This will send a copy of the email to the store team manager. The only way we will get WF to change back is for enough of us to yell loudly enough. There are also WF and Mackey blogs that could be used to give them a piece of our mind, though Mackey's doesn't seem to be active. I mentioned this to a manager at a WF in Sebastopol. He said that this is a system that WF is moving toward. He's intensely opposed -- as I am, of course. This is something we should speak up on, as often as possible. I'm much less likely to buy deli items if they don't list ingredients. This lack of information would be a serious deterrent to me, and my only problem is gluten. For those who have other food problems, such as allergies to corn or nuts, for example, this could be terribly serious. H. ************ ** Worried about job security?
