Guest guest
Isn't this counterintuitive - how does placing all the ingredients in one out-of-the-way folder make it easier for us to know what is safe to eat? And how will we be reassured that those lists are updated? When the ingredients are on the product itself, I feel I can trust that it represents accurately what it in the container. I will not have the same level of trust in a list that is far removed from the food I am considering to buy. Also, will the list be easily accessible? The first time I shopped in a WF (in San Francisco) after being diagnosed in March 2008, they couldn't even find the GF list for me... Hmph. Is this only at the Walnut Creek store? I think anyone in agreement that this is a strange way for the store to go should email all the stores with your concerns. The ingredient list will no longer be on the signs however there will be a notebook that will be available that will list all ingredients. We think is a better way to help those customers that do have food allergies as some recipes change and we can keep an update ingredient list. We are able to take them directly from the recipes we use as well as from what products we buy in so they should be more detailed. As my wife has food allergies to 7 different foods I understand the fear one has when they can not read the ingredients but as I said you will have more access to a complete ingredient list. I hope this eases some of the trepidation you have shopping here. If you have any other question please call me. Guest guest
There is absolutely no logic behind it, from a food allergy sense. Maybe Whole Foods thinks they’ll sell more prepared foods if people dont second guess they’re choice based on ingredients…just a thought…they are corporate. I doubt a lot of people (without food issues) will take the time to find out exact ingredients. - From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of TrVerb@...
