Guest guest
We were there in October and there was still an exec. chef there, but he just said to go to the information place (I think it's called City Hall) as soon as we got in the park to pick up a list of current restaurants--they should have a list of restaurants arranged according to allergy type. We ate lunch every day across from the Jedi Training station (near Space Mountain) because they had hamburgers with GF buns that my son loved, and a dedicated french fry fryer. For dinners we went to the restaurant in the Grand Californian Hotel. The chef there was nice and accommodating and gave us the nightly rundown of GF foods. Guest guest
Call the Disney Dining number to make reservations and let them know you require gluten free if you'd like to do table service. Disney-owned hotel restaurants are particularly convenient. Remind them at check in. Redd Rocket's Pizza Port in Tomorrowland is tray service & has GF pizza & pasta. Turkey legs from street carts are GF. Full printed list of opions at info office to your left as you enter the park. -- Sent from Joe's iPhonehttp://sanbeiji.comOn Apr 19, 2009, at 12:34 PM, "Groff" <megroff01@...> wrote: Hi, I know that this has been asked before…but I wanted to know if anyone has recent feedback or advice on where to eat in Disneyland. ….Any recommendations would be great to save time on hunting around. We are planning to eat at Ariel’s Grotto one night, but not sure which locations in the main park are best for lunches. Guest guest
Eileen, I don't usually reply to the group but we had a great experience at Disneyland in October. We ate breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen one morning. The chef personally guided us through the buffet and we had many choices. He also made us pancakes and chocolate chip cookies that were fantastic. We ate at the Rainforest Cafe one night and they also went through menu items that we could have. Another night we ate at the Mexican food restaurant, I can't remember the name but they have gluten free marked on their regular menus items. If only all places could be like Disneyland! During the day at the park was more challenging so you will need to ask around. I did have a really good chef salad near Mickey's house and they have fresh fruit stands all over the park. Good luck and I hope you had as much fun as we did! Guest guest
We went last month and it was great. We went into the Town Hall right at entry, and they will print out a detailed (many pages!) list of everything in the park that is GF, just ask for the Celiac list. We had a hamburger, fries and bun at the Tomorrowland Terrace, and then a hotdog, bun and chips in the main street area. Depending on the place, you may have to wait up to 15 minutes extra for the GF as the chef will make it on demand. We had to wait for the hotdog, but not that long for the hamburger. When I walked up to the order window with my list in my hands, before I could even say anything the woman said, " Oh, Celiac! Do you want a special meal? " I was blown away. There are also places in CA Adventure that are GF listed on the list. Hope you have a great time!
