Guest guest
Hi Vonnie, I'm sorry your having such a difficult time with the pain. Reading your note was like reading something I had written. Just to have a day without it hurting, dare I dream? But I have resigned myself to the fact that this is going to be my life from now on. I am finally referred to a pain doc and cannot wait to get in. I am trying to keep up hope that there is light at the end of this painful tunnel. You said your were going to a pain doc too. Please let me know how it goes.
Guest guest
Hi and Vonnie, I believe that once you guys find out that your revision surgery is successful and that from the surgeon's viewpoint, there is nothing wrong, and then you find a really good pain doc, you will see that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I went through over two years of terrible pain (which started from doing too much on a two week trip) and was assured by Drs. Boachie and Dr. Bridwell that all was well surgically. After two false starts, I found a wonderful pain doc who put me on 5 mg of Methadone three times per day and sent me for acupressure and cranial sacral therapy. That's been my regimen for almost two years now. Yesterday, I traipsed around 6 gardens for a couple of hours on a garden tour, then came home to make dinner and felt fine. We went out again today, walked again for about two hours through more gardens, then went grocery shopping and came home to make dinner. It's 8 pm and, while tired, I feel fine. I'm 10 years post revision, not to mention 10 years older at 66, and I feel better now than ever since my revision surgery. So have hope. If it happened to me, it can happen to you. I wish you the best. Bonnie
