Thoughts from Momma Sue:

Why yes. We will have vegan, and gluten free and as many allergy free

foods as we can. Misty and Laurel are working very hard for our new

menu unveiling for our big May First party. We must have a very strict

No Outside Food policy in order to operate as a restaurant, but we

also understand the plight of so many families struggling with

allergies. They have some great ideas and we would love to hear yours

as well. Email us as feedback@... with any favorites

that you may have.

I was once critiqued by being too personal and open with my newsletter

stories. The truth is that I can't be any other way. I find that when

I tell a story, I get a story. What is more fun then hearing a story?

So not only will I continue to share too much here on my newsletter, I

am also enjoying hosting the SD's blog. Here you'll find stories about

mommyhood, about owning a community cafe, about survival in general,

and hopefully you'll find a good laugh when you need one. If you want

 The date is set and (drumroll please)  May1st is the date for our

huge RE-Grand Opening party! (And yes we will have painted over the

confusing tumble & tea sign by then;) This will be an all day party

with live music by ASHEBA, a ribbon cutting, t-shirt giveaways, and

more. It has been such an amazing year of transformation and we cannot

wait  to celebrate having made it to this point and preparing for

another exciting year.

All Through the Night: Finding a Sleep Solution for your Family

Thursday March 4th 6-7pm, Wednesday March 11th 10-11am

Getting enough sleep is one of the great challenges of early parenting.

Without adequate sleep all other problems are magnified. In some

families sleep issues resolve on their own within a few months. In

other families sleep problems drag out or become progressively worse.

There are lots of experts with lots of advice to offer sleep deprived

parents. The key is finding a solution that works for your family.

This workshop will help parents sort through the conflicting advice

and find a solution suitable for your unique situation.

Class cost is $10 and preregistration is required.

Our Plan to Keep Us Clean and Green Of course we love the rain. That's

when we get to see all of our fans. What we struggle with, is how to

keep our place clean and relaxing, rain or shine. We need to serve

food to stay open and we need tables for people to sit to eat said

food. When bags and coats cover the tables we have to move them.

No-one wants their stuff moved and we don't want to move them either.

We do our best to provide ample storage with cubbies and hooks that we

always encourage folks to use these rather than use our valuable table

and chair space for their belongings. Remember, it could be you hoping

to find a place to sit...

 From now on, every so often we will call out " STREET SWEEPING! " . At

this time we will announce that we will be coming through and hanging

any unattended items, clearing any food without a " still eating sign " ,

moving any unattended drinks to the cup-holders and wiping down each

table and sweeping the floor.This will give you a chance to put your

stuff where you want it 1st, before we move it. The good news is you

won't get a 50.00 ticket, just a clean table.

When you  buss your table please look over our new compost/recycle

system. We are working hard to reduce landfill waste and we would love

your help as we GREEN our cafe.

 (This only applies to unattended tables. You are welcome to keep your

belongings with you of course while you are dining or working on your

laptop.)

Please be sure to send us any suggestions for events or amenities that

you would like to see at SadieDey's Cafe.
