Diane,

I took it for a short while, but stopped because it didn't seem to be

helping with my pre-revision pain. I didn't have any side effects

that I recall from it. I hope that you respond well to it :)

Diane,

I took Mobic for at least a year prior to revision surgery and never

had any bad side effects from it. It did help with the pain however.

Hi Diane,

I took Mobic before my total hip replacement, and also took it for my back at

one time. I

didn't have any side effects from it, and I certainly could tell the difference

in pain levels

when I had to stop taking Mobic 2 weeks before my THR!!! That was when I

realized how

much it had actually helped!

Good Luck,

Diane,

I can remember skipping it while on vacation for a couple of days and

boy did I feel the difference in my back. You really need to take it

every day. I was actually having some stomach issues just a few

months before my surgery was scheduled and I went to my PCP. I

thought the Mobic was the cause, but he said that it would not be the

cause and it turned out not to be. Taking it daily along with

Ultracet got me through many days. Good luck and happy holidays!

Hi ,

As usual, you said all the right things but the one I particularly liked is,

<<<<Know if you are in pain and dealing with daily life, you are already SUCKING IT UP, >>>>>

What a great comeback when told to "suck it up", as my grown son once said to me when I told him I was in pain. If he, or anyone else, should dare to say that to me again, I will remember that comeback. Thank you!

Also, I think another reason why some family and friends don't understand the significance of our pain is because it's not visible. They may think that because you look good, you also feel good. We know that's not necessarily true, of course, but some people don't. Sometimes, when one friend or another asks how I am, I may say, "same as usual", and their response usually is, "but you look so good!"
