Guest guest
Here in Santa Cruz the Staff of Life has the lowest prices; I am hoping that the Whole Foods opening up down the street doesn’t put them out of business. I also buy from a food co-op, which helps bring down prices on many processed items (crackers, chips, Amy’s, Ian’s, pasta, etc). I too find that Amazon and Trader Joes (the kids love those tamales) to be good sources for some items. This makes for a bit of a complicated food system at our house, but with three celiacs (two of them teen boys) I have to keep things reasonable. Guest guest
Pam, I agree. Staff of Life definitely has the lowest prices. Things seem to always be “on sale”. I am a fan of the ’s Gone Crackers brand of crackers and I always buy them there because they run $3.45-$3.65 vs Nob Hill & some other stores in which theyre always $4.15 or higher! A lot of the GF stuff is always cheaper. For a long time the Amy’s Rice crust large pizza was always $7.99 - $8.99 vs the $10.99-$11.99 everywhere else. I don’t think the new whole foods (both the one on Soquel or the new one about to open in Capitola) will put them out of business. Staff brings a unique vibe to the area and has a lot of dedicated shoppers. Guest guest
Just got an email that Costco is going to carry 's Gone Crackers. That should bring the price down even more. I love them but am only eating a raw food diet (veggies, nuts and seeds, and a little fruit) these days so eat one for me!
