Guest guest
Thanks Carol... Tummy still nauseous, it is the Plaquanil that is causing it, which is what I figured and the only thing to do is to stop medication and be put on steriods, but I Don't want to do that yet ( I have been putting off taking steroids for the last five to six years... so I said I'd give it a little longer to hopefully be accepted by my system... Guest guest
Yes, Doc told me to wear socks and gloves to bed also... When it was in the 70's I was still wearing gloves, Hubby looks at me and smiles, he knows I feel foolish... We had to go to town, so I asked him to remind me to take them off when we got out of the car, because I am so used to them I forget... So he helps by reminding me ) By the time we got out of the store, my fingers were blue and I put them on Hubby's neck and he said they are like Ice... I smiled and said yea, remember, i'm Instant ice cubes !!! doc thinks the Lupus might be out of remission again ( Take care... How are YOU !!! Guest guest
Well, the sick tummy is most likely from the Plaquanil, and he could take me off it and put me on steroids, because that is at the stage I'm at now ( But I opted not to do that... I really don't want to go on steroids again as I think they are worse then the Plaquanil for me... He thinks the S.L.E. is out of remission again, even though the blood work was negative for it... Mine usually is neg.... So I am to keep an eye on myself and if any symptoms start in with liver or kidneys or heart, I am to get a hold of him right away and he will see me... The good thing about this Doc. is he knows if I call to be seen, I am going down and they get me right in, usually the same day... Also he kept me listed as having Polymyalgia, as he thinks that is what is going on also ( So have to keep track of my heart and Not to let it get out of hand like I usually do, he said ) So I will put up with the sick tummy as long as I can... i have lost 7 #'s so far because of it, as food makes me worse... I only eat to keep my sugars up, then I seem to be going low each day, because I have stopped eating breakfast and lunch, as the food just makes my stomach sicker and then cramps me up because of the food in it... By mid afternoon, I try and eat something little, because by then I have the shakes and have to get something in me, as i start to stumble when walking and that is a sign I do know ( Girls are doing alright physically... Bre still has the cough again, but he will do nothing for that of course... Baby's eye after 18 days is still swollen on the cheek bone and lightly black and blue, and still a scab over the hole where inpact must have been ( No, we didn't get to see them tonight... Tonight was our phone call night and he has gotten that down to 3 - 5 min's. total for all three girls ( He won't allow them to talk... They are so afraid that he will take their favorites away, so they say nothing, until we see them ( We get them tomorrow and then for this weekend though ) How are the girls ??? Take Care... Guest guest
Sorry to hear April is having a flare ( How's she doing today??? Is Amber home now??? Hope she had a good time... Hope seeing their Dr. helps them... They finally found the young man that disappeared after his car went into the swollen creek here... He was only a few feet from his car ( Once the water went down is how they found him... The older gentleman that capsized in the river was found the next day, several miles down river... My step- mother this morning slipped and fell on her garage floor... She had a hard time dragging herself to the phone, which thank-fully she has one in the garage, when my Dad was alive he had one put in the garage, his workshop and one outside, because he would have spells all the time and needed access to a phone at all times... She called my nephew instead of 911, she was in a pool of blood and a bit confused... We're thinking maybe she hit her head also... When he got there, she had gotten herself into a standing position and the blood was dripping quit fast... He ran into the house got a towel, put the dog in and locked up, wrapped her leg and carried her to his car and rushed her to ER... She broke her leg, just above the ankle bone... She has a serious compound fracture... They had to numb her from waist down and then did surgery on her to try and set it... They wouldn't put her to sleep, because she had just eaten before the accident... The Dr. was only able to set one of the bones... She has pins through it, you can see the pins pushing the bandage and ace bandaid... she will be laid up for a while... In two weeks, the Dr. will put her to sleep and try and repair the other bone and set it... The Dr. was afraid she had tendon and nerve damage, we still don't know if she does, as she hasn't talked to the dr. sinse surgery, she was kinda out of it... If the Dr. allows her to go home, she will have to be taken care of, so my brother is going to have her stay at his place with his family, she will borrow my wheelchair to be able toget around in his house... His house is less than five years old and when he built it, he made it wheelchair accessable, so she will be better there than anywhere else... Plus she will have her dog with her... He is 15 years old and in bad health already, so the two of them being together should help them both... Had a wonderful time with the girls this weekend ) Always do ) Heard a few horror stories from them, and S cried till midnight Sat. night for what she has got to go through... Otherwise good... Guest guest
Helen, Hey There, How are you and Ross?? How is your step mom?? How scarey, will take a while to recover for sure and those head scrapes can bleed like a stuck hog, for sure. We all are doing fine here. Amber got back from Arlington Sat evening, had a blast talked for hours. April had a blast at her friend's BD sleepover. She seems to be doing ok, now, I am sure it was from the shredding at school all last week. They see the PP Wed. At least the families can have closure now. How sad, things can happen in an instant. I worked the weekend, and as usual, not worth a flip today. Not sure why working nights can tire me out so much. Getting hot here, 87, nearing and into 90's tomorow. The aching has been terrible the last few days, but that is probably because of all the storms around... I'm Glad the girls are doing better...
