Guest guest
We evacuated. Not sure when we will go home, what we will find, or when we will have lights. Too hard to type on hubby's laptop. Kathy
Guest guest
Dear Kathy, Was thinking about you last night while watching the coverage of the storm. Glad you were away, hopefully you'll be home soon with power! I was amzed to listen to people that didn't heed the warnings in Galveston, and what resourses had to be used to save them! So glad you are fine! Colorado Springs [ ] I'm Okay We evacuated. Not sure when we will go home, what we will find, or when we will have lights. Guest guest
Kathy, I was worried about all my Houston friends...(COA is keeping operations suspended for another day...so I am sure things are a mess down there since the airport is fairly far north). The main thing is you are fine....the rest of it is just " stuff " , difficult though it might be to pick up the pieces in Ikes aftemath. Stay safe, Cam
Guest guest
I’m so glad you did, Kathy. Just not worth the risk to stay if you’re in harm’s way. My friend who lives in SW Houston said it wasn’t bad for them at all. They boarded up windows but other than some tree branches being blown around, and losing electricity, it wasn’t too bad. They still don’t have power yet. I’m still trying to reach two cousins and my brother and his family. Haven’t been able to get through to them and I suspect the lines are down because I get the funny-sounding busy signal. Even my cousin’s cell phone isn’t working. My sister and her family who live in Corpus are trying to check on them. Don’t be in too big a hurry to get back. Be safe.
