Camp Celiac--Volunteers Needed

Registration for Camp Celiac at Camp Arroyo opens Feb. 1, 2009 and we

hope you will consider volunteering as a counselor. Once again we

expect to serve over 100 kids with celiac or who are otherwise

restricted to a gluten-free diet. For those who joined us last year,

you will be happy to know that Bernstein will be returning as

Camp Director. Volunteers will arrive on the afternoon of July 25 and

we hope to have another volunteer dinner at Wente Vineyards. Camp

ends on Friday, July 31, 2009.

This year we are offering online registration. Please visit the

website, www.celiaccamp.com, any time to register to volunteer (it

should be up and running as of now). As we are limited in the number

of campers we can accept based on the number of counselors we recruit,

please sign up as soon as you are able to commit. As always, if you

Also, please recruit anyone else who may be interested. Volunteers do

not have to have celiac; they may be friends or loved ones of someone

on a gluten-free diet and thus familiar with what our campers

experience.
