Guest guest
Another East Bay option I tried recently was the Counter in Walnut Creek. While the hostess who sat us did not have a gluten free menu and informed our table that "all their buns are gluten free, especially the honey whole wheat" and was upset with my argument that she obviously had no clue what she was talking about, the manager was extremely helpful. He came over and said "with the exception OF the BUNS" almost everything we serve here is gluten free, and all our fryers are dedicated so there is no chance for cross contamination." I had regular french fries, sweet potato french fries (excellent) and a "burger in a bowl" which is kind of like a meat salad, but very good - and you choose all your toppings / dressings, etc. He also gave me a print out from their internet allergen list online to confirm what was GF and what was not. Great place - a little expensive, but at least an option! Lynn
