Guest guest
Is there a connection to having fibroids and celiac disease? I have a few other autoimmune diseases - polymyositis (inflammation of the muscles) along with celiac, diabetes II, raynauds and fibroids. I have always wondered if there was some type of connection. I was engaged in this line of questioning because of changes in my son's behavior. Before he was diagnosed (for the first 6 years of his life), he was very feminine--preferrin g pink, girl's toys and games, and wearing dresses. As soon as we changed his diet, he immediately stopped almost all of the feminine behaviors and became way more male-typical (instead of princess he played Star Wars; instead of stickers he played with Lego). We were confounded until the psychiatrist explained the link between celiac and gender: his testosterone levels were normal, but blunted--his body could not read the hormone. So perhaps the same is true for estrogen. Marci
Guest guest
I can only speak for myself and one other person. But she also has the AI polymyositis along with celiac. So I think the connection is just the AI's and not necessarily fibroids.I did some more research and found that the autoimmune disease site does not list fibroids or endometriosis as an AI. But both are the result os high estrogen levels. So maybe that is the connection.Just a thought.
