No need to freak out here. It is painless. Nothing special to do before a

session. Make sure that the place is clean, follow good hygiene, and that the

practitioner is certified. Yes, there is an association for colonic

hydrotherapy.

Colonic hydrotherapy used to be standard procedure at every hospital in the

early 1900's. Hospitals would routinely clean out the colons of every patient,

assuming that that they needed it. Many times patients would feel so much

better, they would greatly improve on their health from the procedure alone.

You will probably be amazed at the volume of stuff that will come out. The

main thing is just to relax as much as possible and let the practitioner do

their thing. It is basically a form of detoxing your system and cleaning out

what may be stuck to your colon walls. My practitioner uses Emergen-C as a way

to replace electrolytes that may be lost during the procedure. I have not had

any problems.

At your age, once or twice is probably all that you would need to help your

system. I would suggest that you work to keep your diet as vegetarian as you can

to help your colon do its job. I have found that much less meat and many more

vegetables help your colon move things along without very little gas or

bloating, as well as alkalizing your system. Best of luck to you.
