Yeah the brownies and both cake mixedsay may contain soy. I made the browniestoday for a party and put Heath pieces in. Very moist and chewy. Sent from my iPhoneOn Jul 2, 2009, at 7:03 PM, "Groff" <megroff01@...> wrote:

I have not read the ingredients on a box

yet, and their web site does not disclose the ingredients.

I am understanding that they are GF and DF…but

are they also soy free?

Crocker mixes

The gluten-free Betty Crocker mixes are not especially

healthy or organic- but that's not really the market they are going for.

However, they are not much different from most typical gluten-free mixes and do

not have artificial colors, dyes, or preservatives (the latter to memory). They

also do not contain dairy and can be reduced in fat and made dairy free if

desired. There are plenty of alternative cake mixes (Namaste comes to mind)

that serves those with multiple allergies. Personally, I probably won't buy

them that often as I don't eat a lot of refined sugar stuff, but it is fun for

the DH and I to have another option, and I think it is a bit refreshing to have

a "normal" mix available gluten-free. It is especially nice for those

who are newly diagnosed and sad at missing the easy, from the box accessibility

of cake mixes etc.

their mixes...ie lots of refined sugar, artificial colors or dyes,

preservatives, etc....so, along with needing to be GF, it's really important to

me that I eat as healthy as possible too. I make GF, DF, soy free, egg free

cakes all the time from scratch; they're made with only the purest, freshest

and organic ingredients. They whip up in no time flat and are SOOOO much better

than any mix you can buy.

We got the yellow cake and the cookie mix. The Yellow cake is nice and spongy

and has a good flavor to it. The cookie mix freaking rocks. It seriously tastes

like the cookies my mom and I used to make pre-GF days when I was a kid. We made

those from scratch, but still. They spread out all nice and thin and lacey,

which is just how I like em. By far the best GF cookies I have come across.
