Guest guest
Hi Kam, It is good to see you posting so much. You are amazing. I will fly in to St Louis at 12:20 on the 24th and fly out at 6pm on the 26th. While I was in Healthsouth Rehab between surgeries I became very close to my room mate and her three daughters. They live in and around St Louis. We plan to get together for lunch or dinner one day but outside of that I am free. I have two doctor appointments on the 25th. One is 11 something with Dr Yamaguchi and the other is with Dr Lenke whenever I get through with Yamaguchi. I will probably still be around when you get there but you are more than welcome to come early and help speed the time away. Plus the four of us can grab a bite to eat sometime. We can get more specific closer to time. If you get out of recovery in time I will still be able to fluff your pillow! Joyce E [ ] slight change in plans - to Joyce & Nan... & in PA The good news is it looks like I will still get to meet both of you in a few weeks. However, Bernie, Dr. Bridwell's nurse, called me this afternoon to say that she could not find a single vascular surgeon available January 24th, so my surgery has been rescheduled for January 26th. I still have my pre-op appt. on January 23rd with both Dr. Bridwell and the anesthesia staff, but then I am free until January 25th at 3 pm when I have my central line placed.Joyce, I am sorry you won't get to fluff my pillow, but perhaps I can keep you company while you wait in Dr. Lenke's waiting room or maybe we could even meet for lunch or dinner (depending on the time of your appt.) somewhere close by.Nan, I hope you don't mind taking on Joyce's promise of walking down the hall with me when you come to visit. With all of the changes, it is nice that some things are working out well. It will be really great to meet you if all stays according to plans. It sounds like you are going to have quite a whirlwind visit! I am reading it as a good sign that you are only a little bummed about the job thing? Of course, I will keep you in my prayers and I will trust that it will all work out for the best., what this means to you is that I will be able to fully focus on praying for you ALL DAY during your second surgery. I promise to think about you and send you well wishes throughout the entire day. I truly believe in the power of prayer and you will be completely covered during both of your surgeries. Promise. So, if someone who is not on pain meds could please update the calendar, I would certainly appreciate it. At this point, I may need the reminders!kam
