hi all-

We've decided to do a last minute trip to Carmel today with our dog

Felix (the most amazing yellow lab in the world...). Any ideas on places

in town we can eat lunch? We'll be hitting the beach first so Felix can

play then walk up into town. Last time we ended up driving to the

shopping center on highway 1 and got tacos, which we'll do again as a

last resort.

thanks,

Jean

Raise your hand if you're in Carmel/Monterey this weekend.

::raises hand::

I think there must be at least 4 Bay Area Celiacs currently visiting in

Monterey.

I'm headed over to Carmel in about an hour or so. I haven't found any info yet

on GF places, but will let you know if I do find something. I did have luck at

Esteban's last night. The chef actually had two Celiacs come the night before

and he told me what they ordered. The chef's old roommate was a Celiac too, so

he was very familiar with cross-contamination. It is a little bit out of the way

of Carmel - located on Munras in Monterey. But, it's worth having him rattle off

the menu, " the olives and cucumber are gluten-free, the pita bread is not gluten

free.. " He did that for the ENTIRE menu!

Like I said, I'll do some hunting online and see if I have any luck.

:)
