I have a 25 year background in alternative medicine. Even with all that in me pocket... I am in a real pickle! What I would like to do is write a response to the above and a few other items I saw this morning in this group and then send one long email later today to give you a sense of what my challenge is. I know there's a possibility that one of you folks has a pearl of wisdom for me! Schulze: His bowel formula should never be used for more than a few weeks AT MOST. I have been seriously injured by prolonged use of this product. I will explain this in my longer email. The only products that make sense to me right now are by RenewLife - they are the only ones I sell to my clients. Colon Tubes: A great invention. One of the major risks of enemas is that since the hard little plastic tube they give you is only a few inches long, often the combination of the tube and the stimulation of the water stimulates the nerve endings at the base of the rectum and makes it hard to relax and let the water all the way in. I used a skinny colon tube for years and that was about8-10 inches long. Now I use the standard one that Dr. , (grandfather of the alternative cancer movement in the US,) has suggested for over thirty years. It's probably around 18 inches long. The advantage of using a tube is that the water STARTS to enter your body in the Transverse colon - that's the part that goes horizontal in your body. Because it starts wayyyy up there , then as you fill up the natural pressure of the peristalsis will expel the water easily and, most importantly, you won't ever suffer from the common ballooning of the descending colon, (that's the side that you enter on.) The ballooning only happens if you don't get majority of water into transverse and ascending colon and... if you do enemas frequently. While mine is a 38 french, I think I will replace it with an 18 french. Anyone want to buy a second hand... just kidding! I was taught ages ago that the easiest way to know if you have gotten the water all the way to the secum, (end of your colon,) or not is simply to pay close attentiuon when the water comes out. If the last bit of water that comes out is significantly higher in temperature, it's almost certain you hit the mark! You can find colon tubes easily on the web at: http://tyler.highspeedweb.net/public_html/pages/equip03a.htm Homozon: This is a really tricky subject for me. I started out with homozon 15 years ago. I got to be friends with Freibot who is basically responsible for the manufacturing of the product. Very strange fellow. I really wanted thius to be all that they said it was but I came away from the whole experience having a hard time believing that it was really anything more than mag oxide that someone had run some electricty through. I know that many of you are trying to find Homozon. Straight from always seemed best to me. I think this is his contact number: International Association for Oxygen Therapy, P.O. Box 1360, Priest River, ID. 83856. (208) 448-2504. If anyone has found some really good in depth info on homozon that is NOT from , I'd appreciate it if you sent it to me. The older I get, the more I feel really alligned with how the old school foundationed all their teachings: that you have to start with the colon and if you don't get the colon cleaned up, most supplementation doesn't get used by the body and most other efforts to heal other parts of the body and mind often don't respond. I have journeyed away from this foundation too many times and I think that that's so about me because there are certain issues that I was unwilling to grapple with until now. It's clear to me now that I have a lot to face in this particular area of my body. I am especially interested at this point in my life in communicating back and forth with folks who really want to heal the bowel not just keep it moving. For me this demands not only skillful supplementation, but also a willingness to really grapple with unresolved issues in the first three chakras. I look forward to getting to know y'all. Off to a colonic!
Guest guest
I looked at the site that you posted and saw a colon tube for the first time. I don't know why anyone would need this since the type of tube which is small, is not inserted that far in me with my colonics. Maybe these are the people who get perferated colons, using this long tube? I know you posted the reason they are used but the water flow works using a tube that fits in the rectum only a short distance of 1/2-3/4 of an inch. Perhaps you can comment on those who did get their colon perferated? Liz D. > Colon Tubes: A great invention. I have only seen brief snippets of stories of people who supposedly perforated their colon. michael
Guest guest
Friends, not to be argumentative with or anything but notwithstanding that colon tubes can sometimes be effective--and with safe, very very careful use!!--I hope this discussion is not leading anyone to conclude that that the only way to take a 'high' enema or enemas, and accomplish a thorough colon cleansing at home, is with a colon tube.....that is just not the case !!!! The most important single ingredient in achieving a high enema is taking time, relaxing, and getting in the proper positions, then taking the enema(s) slowly and gently, permitting the solution to reach the upper colon. Inserting a device like a colon tube is not necessary if other enema fundamentals are followed, above all the relaxation aspects. The object is to relax and position the body, and to take the enema in such a manner, as to permit water/enema solution to flow 'high' into the colon. Often, a 'high' enema cleansing requires two or three enemas in succession, the first one being perhaps just a quart or even less, to clear out the 'descending colon.' When cleansing the colon at home through enemas, time, patience, and relaxation are far more important than any device or equipment. Guest guest
No I haven't, that is why I am asking about it. I have been on this board for about 1 year and a half and no one has ever talked about the colon tube. Just a few posts ago there was comment about the dangers of getting hurt buy colonics. I don't see how this could be with the type of colonic I received but now I wonder how safe it is using these colonic tubes? Maybe this long tube is how persons did get damaged. Seems 3/4 of the physicians scare patients away having colonics, even enemas. One visit I had with a doctor discussing my problems with constipation and yeast and I told her that sometimes at night I give myself just this small syringe enema. It only holds one cup. And you should have heard how she ranted and raved about the dangers. I only used the 1 cup! So far nobody replied about anyone they know being hurt by this. I was on the Candidiasis group and someone mentioned that they thought they damaged themselves by doing home colonics. I don't know the details, they never came back. And I don't know what kind of tube they used either.
