Guest guest
Hi, this is Ben, 's son; My mom tried typing an email back to you but she accidently lost it and she was to exhausted to rewrite so I'm doing it for her. I don't know why she wanted me to tell you that but whatever . The long and short of it is that hospital experience was not so wonderful however I am pleased with Dr. Glazer himself. The next few months should prove if my faith in him is warranted or not. My first post-op appointment is August 1st. I am looking forward to that day to see what progress I have made. I will email you againwhen I gather more strength. D.

Guest guest
D, Ugh. Please know that we are all soooooo sorry you had to undergo the treatment you did. That stinks. Unfortunately it seems like every hospital has there own version of " Nurse Kratchet " . I think you should definitely take your experience to the " powers that be " , or at the very least DrGlazer. Problems can't be fixed if there isn't an awareness of them. Not to scare you, but to a certain degree it sounds like the procedure you underwent was a " mini " version of your future surgery in that for the first days after surgery you are completely unable to move in bed without assistance. At NEBH I was in the ICU for the first 48 hours so I had enough nursing (although I did have one bravo, india, tango, charlie, echo, on the night shift!) to feel " covered " until I could move a little. A lot of hospitals have, or encourage a family member to stay in the room with a patient, which might be something for your to explore in the future. No matter what, you will want to make sure that your pain is better managed and/or timely and you will not have to wait endlessly to move. A family member drumming their fingers at the nurses station might not be a bad idea at 3 in the morning. Maybe you should tell Glazer or BI if they can't guarantee that you will have a better experience that you will have to explore your other options. Well, for now, just hang out, relax...and heal. You will have plenty of time to look down the road when your neck is better! Glad you are home. Take Care, Cam
Guest guest
Thanks Dawn, I could hold my breath and find relief, but would turn a terrible shade of blue before I got the relief that I am seeking!
