Guest guest
Hi all, Most importantly, all is well. The fusion is solid. The biggest conversation was based on my " not " leaning forward..yes!!, due to the constant stretches of hamstrings and hip flectors, I have gained back the 2% lean I had forward. The other lean, to the left though unfortunately is due to the way the first surgery was done, the curve 40 plus was fused in such a way that three osteotomies could not bring it back in line. I was always confused as to why I could force myself to bring that right hip in and make myself look more aligned. He tells me all I am really doing is adjusting my pelvic to pull it in. Well, anyway, I think that is an end to my hunny saying stand up straight. It is just not possible. He suggest a lift if I was concerned with the appearance of it all. A gradual adjustment in height as to not shock my system. I am thinking about it. He also, offered more surgery, a wedged disk of sorts to straighten out the left lean. It appears to be new technology he has been working on. I told him I was not interested. If we need to go back in for another reason, then fine, I would do it but otherwise I am content to look a bit off. I can otherwise function, just fine. He was thrilled with the mentor program and I submitted to him two papers I have written on flatback recovery. I am not required to go back unless I wish to. So, it is indeed, a happy anniversary, to me.
