Guest guest
I used two 8-inch round pans to make the chocolate cake today. I spread homemade chocolate frosting on top of one of the cakes (1/3 c. butter/1/3 c. Hershey's powdered cocoa/3 c. powdered sugar/a little vanilla/a little milk). It was a pretty decent size cake when I finished putting the frosting on top of the second cake and decorated it! Yum, a delicious cake with frosting in the middle! I only baked the cakes for about 25 minutes, though, because the mix was spread out in two pans. I really didn't like the look of the thin, flat cake I made in the 9 " round pan. I checked every store I could think of in the San area and couldn't find the 8-inch pans, so I ordered them from Baker's Secret. Sue
Guest guest
I used two boxes of mix to make a layer cake..I agree, there's something about that big slice with theĀ frosting in the middle! That's the one downside of the BC is it doesn't make a regular sized cake. It tastes so good though, I'm willing to let that slide. I used two 8-inch round pans to make the chocolate cake today.
