Guest guest
Hi ~ Would it be possible for me to get involved in becoming a mentor? If so, I am very interested!!! You can email me personally and I will give you my contact information! Thanks!! SuzieQ I hope that all is well with you!! rebeccamaas <rebeccamaas@...> wrote: ,I would love to be a mentor, as I have really appreciated all the help and support I got from Sharon before and after my surgery. However, I am only about 3 weeks out from my own revision, so I don't know how much insight I can offer someone as to what to expect post-op. I'm also not quite sure how reliable I can be at the moment since I am still at the rehab hospital and have therapy schedules and such that I have to adhere to. So I don't think I would make a good mentor yet, but please know that I would love to do so in the future. How long post-op do you think a mentor should be?>> Hi all,> Once again, the list is growing of new patients having revision surgery> and I have been getting emails requesting mentors. Guest guest
, I just wanted to thank you again for setting up this very valuable lifeline for members. I know how important it was for me to have Martha, Ann and Carolyn to keep me on track and my spirits up. I hope you are able to keep the ranks full. I know most people will want to " pay it forward " . You are the best, Cam

Guest guest
Hello, In recent months I have exhausted my mentor list. It is time for a renewal. I am looking for mentors. What do you have to do? You agree to take on a person who is going to have flatback revision surgery and help be a support to them. Usually you agree to contact on a fairly regular basis during and after surgery to provide support and be a sounding board to someone new to the revision process. We have had many successful mentoring relationships and it does help make the process easier to somebody having the surgery. So, if you are a lurker or post regularly and are willing to give up a little bit of time to communicate with someone in need, please just send me an email. Thanks C
Guest guest
--I would like to be a mentor. I had original surgery with Harrington rod in May 1976. Had revision in October 2005. I have been living with scoliosis for 41 years and feel that I have something to offer. Janet in SC > > Hello, > In recent months I have exhausted my mentor list. It is time for a > renewal. Guest guest
, I would also be happy to be a mentor. Had thoracic and lumbar Harrington rods done in 1975 at HSS in NYC; am currently nine months post-op revision surgery done at NYU with Dr. Errico. I have been a mentor for some of his patients and of course would be so happy to contribute here. Donna T. > > > > > > Hello, > > > In recent months I have exhausted my mentor list.
