Camille,

See, good things do happen, and remember that my experience with doctors, most of them really get the frustrations with insurance, and most of them really aren't in the business of only generating money, they want to help, and given the opportunity, most will. Moments like this does really give you faith in mankind!

Also my best suggestion with dealing with anyone who helps you out in the office, send them a little card and thank them for the extra mile they went for you, they truly don't get enough thanks, and get more than their fair share of bitching( usually about policies they have no control over), so send a card, say thanks, and the next time you need help with anything you will truly have a friend in your corner. You get more with honey, has always worked for me!

Camille,

Wonderful news. I wonder why they had to put you through that in the

first place? Couldnt they have made that decision when they saw the

change in carriers? I would guess they could see that you were a 6

month post-op patient and thus unlikely to be a big " loss " for the

surgeon?

No one likes the business side of medicine...but a little common sense

would be nice!

Take Care, Cam

-Well, I'm not sure about that either. I just know it was a big scare

for me. As it turns out, they told me over the phone it would be $80-

$90, which was great. In actuality, the " new to me " check out girl,

said, " that'll be a $30 co-pay, Miss Hardin. " What an even nicer

surprise.......how little faith we have at times.

The injustice lies in Medicare's private pay for fee programs simply

not paying the medical field. They draw it out until the docs'

finally give up and decide the efforts' simply not worth it. It

would piss me off too if I were a doc. So, God bless all the docs

that keep accepting the long awaited small amount they finally do get.
