Guest guest
Hi All I just spoke to GIG. She confirmed that just because a product is labeled as " wheat-free " that does not mean that it is necessarily " gluten-free " so therefore the product could contain barley or rye, etc. cheers Bonnie , " bonniepresti " <bonnie@...> wrote: > > > > > > > > I've generally stayed away from the additive, Carmel Color, because I thought it was a no-no for Celiacs. I've been reading about things like this for 6 yrs and not once have I seen anyone write " THIS product or THIS source has a caramel color w/ gluten " . Obviously, caramel color CAN be made from barley, wheat or rye, but every definitive source I've seen has clearly stated that in north america it is not.
