Guest guest
The Saw Shop in Kelseyville. They were very good about accommodating me and my son, though a little snippy about the dairy-free stuff. It’s much harder and has far fewer options. Don’t have the amaretto crème brulle though if you are super sensitive. I had a small reaction. Which means most normal celiacs wouldn’t feel it. It was probably the vanilla in it. I know all the “experts” say that all hard alcohol has had the gluten distilled out of it, and I don’t want to get into that debate again, but if you are one of those people who, like me, reacts to grain alcohol, don’t get it. I only had one bite and took the rest home just in case. I woke up the next morning feeling like I was surrounded by fog. Took me two (small) pots of coffee to feel even remotely awake, then I fell asleep on the drive home. Which is something that would NEVER happen regularly. Normally when I wake up I am so awake I keep trying to convince myself to go back to sleep. And sleeping a few hours after that much coffee? No way. So, if you are one of those people who reacts to grain alcohol even though everyone says it’s not possible, don’t get it. If you can drink Southern Comfort with impunity, indulge away!
