When I was there in June, I noted in my reservation that I needed gluten-free options, and when I arrived, the chef had marked the menu with all the items that were gluten-free or that she could make gluten free. It was a fabulous meal and a wonderful experience. The owner of the restaurant is very attuned to food allergies and intolerances. Passionfish sounds great - I added that to the map. Guest guest
Central Avenue Bakery is unfortunately closed for business. I had lunch at the FishWife, no specific gf menu but they were accomodating and it was good. You might check with Croce's pizza if they have a gf pizza yet, a couple of months ago they were trying to perfect it. Have fun, Tania From: Joe <joelewis@...> Sent: Monday, September 28, 2009 10:21:17 AMSubject: Re: [ ] Re: Monterey-Asilomar area food On Mon, Sep 28, 2009 at 8:35 AM, minettenorman <minettensbcglobal (DOT) net> wrote:>> > >> > Does anyone have suggestions for this area? Guest guest
My husband and I recently did a few days in Monterey and Carmel. I would not recommend Tilly Gorts anymore. When we went this time we were very disappointed in the breakfasts that we had. We do however LOVE to eat at Casanova’s in Carmel. A little $$ but both times they were very accommodating to my GF and DF needs. We did eat at Esteban’s – only for dessert and breakfast, and it was good. We did hear from a local that the dinners(tapas) are great!
