Guest guest
There are alot of great resources online, just google " growing hops " .. Hops actually store better if you dry them then freeze them. I'm not sure that it is necessary if you're going to use them up right away though. The moist ones can get freezer burn. Here is a nice little section on drying> http://www.freshops.com/garden.html#drying Beau On 9/6/06, Heidi <heidis@...> wrote: > > > > > Hi All, > > > > Introducing myself here. Guest guest
Mine did. At least a baggie or so worth. They grow very quickly. Guest guest
Yes, the vines grow so fast that you can almost SEE ithem growing! Fun! But what I mean is not to expect much quantity of flowers the first year. Prepare to buy supplemental hops, if you cannot wait until the second season for a practical supply. Thanks Kathy in Ohio Mine did. At least a baggie or so worth. They grow very quickly. Guest guest
I'm having some trouble finding the definitive answer about the use of hops (humulus lupitos)for celiac or gluten intolerant folks. Is it ok in supplements? I typically have stayed away from it in all other instances.
Guest guest
Hops do not contain gluten. They are used in the making of beer, of course, but are not themselves a problem for someone avoiding gluten. -----Original Message----- From: bonniepresti <bonnie@...> Sent: Thu, Oct 1, 2009 12:27 pm Subject: [ ] Hops I'm having some trouble finding the definitive answer about the use of hops (humulus lupitos)for celiac or gluten intolerant folks.
