Hi Everyone!Does anyone have a listing of GF ethnic or otherwise, restaurants in SF and the surrounding Bay Area?I don't go out to eat because it seems like such a hassle and people I end up hanging out with, spontaneously go out to eat at whatever place they feel like it at the time. This is bad for me, because I have planning to do. I cannot be spontaneous and eat wherever I want. I feel like others think I'm a pain in the butt to go out with:(

A list would be nice. I know they have booklets but wondered if anyone had complied a list they can email to me.thank you!!Jemma~On Wed, Sep 23, 2009 at 8:15 AM, Luther <l@...> wrote:

I am meeting a couple friends at Banana House tomorrow for lunch (in downtown SF), so I called to ask a few questions. I was at a Thai restaurant once that put soy sauce in EVERY dish, including the curries, so that was my first question. I explained I wanted to know because most soy sauce has wheat as a main ingredient. The woman on the phone told me that they don't use soy sauce in the curries, but even so the soy sauce they use is soybean-only -- no wheat. The only thing I would have to avoid would be the spring rolls, which use wheat paper.

She also told me that she thought that most Asian restaurants use soybean-only soy sauce -- something that hadn't occurred to me before, although now that I think about it someone had also told me that House of Nanking (in downtown SF) also uses wheat-free soy sauce.
