Guest guest
Louise,Great work!!! Do you know of any brand that exclusively sells GF lipsticks? Sephora has an umber of GF lipsticks, but I found out that the bottom line is the color--- each color has it's own formula. The less chemicals the better, but I havent found a name brand yet that is safe. Guest guest
Arbonne has a great line of gluten free makeup products, including lipsticks, foundation, blush, etc.etc...And, depending on where you live, you can find a rep at their website. I'd also suggest you look at the Environmental Working Group website ewg.org where they talk about all the various ingredients that you want to avoid in make up.... things like sodium laurel sulfate, others that are cancer causing or are very harmful to your body. cheers Bonnie > > From: Louise Audell <louise_gd@...> > Subject: [ ] Make-up Gluten Free > " Celiac Bay Area " < > > Date: Wednesday, September 23, 2009, 6:32 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi: > > Called around to a few more companies and found additional cosmetics that are gluten-free. Guest guest
Thanks for mentioning the Sodium Laurel Sulfate...it's my next task on my To Do List (not just excluding gluten) as it's in *everything*. From toothpaste, soap (bath, hand, bubbles), shampoos, conditioners, detergents, deodorants, etc-etc. Also that aluminum stuff causes cancer and many (if not all) of those fake sugars.I figured, given our immune systems are down and we're more prone to cancer (amongst) other things, it would be good to ride all products of these ingredients, too.
